SOCIABLE, ENGAGING AND WEIRD

As always, each morning you check your email, look over your website and pour over your social media stats.  As always, the results are very disappointing. Once again your posts, quotes and your published articles didn’t get the attention that you thought they deserved. Don’t those followers, network connections and friends understand how much time you spent contributing to your social media when you could have been doing so many other things instead?  You listened to others who emphasize the importance of having social media accounts and how easy it is to make money. You did everything; you got the accounts set up, you posted and shared once in the morning and once in the evening so how come others got so many “likes” but yours got zilch?  It’s frustrating; especially after you did everything right, or did you?

I believe there is a direct correlation between social media and a gym membership. Yes ladies and gentlemen you heard me right, or should I say you read me right!  Getting a membership at the popular fitness center and not attending regularly won’t help you to lose weight or gain muscles and have the body you desire.  Accordingly, setting up a social media account and posting a couple of pictures and quotes here and there won’t get you the results you are looking for either.
It’s time to admit that you can use some help with social media ideas and strategies that work! For instance, posting and sharing more than once or twice a day will greatly enhance your exposure. Getting the right social media mediums for the business type you have will ensure market saturation without wasting time and effort on markets that have nothing to do with your business.  You need to be informative and helpful to readers seeking useful advice from other experts in their line of work/business. You must be engaging and interesting if you want to grab and hold onto your reader’s attention.  Show your readers that you are an expert in your field; a human being who cares what customers think and that you value their opinions. And the last but least, remember that you must stand out in the crowd.  That means it’s okay to be little weird but don’t go overboard. One more thing you need to remember; it’s all about marketing on a social platform where the main purpose is selling your product or service without being pushy. Once you get the hang of it you will be on your way to success. Social media is here to stay so grab the technology by the ears and make it work for you….happy postings!

Very sociably,
